For years, James grew up in the same home as Jesus. He had the same parents, went on the same family trips, and probably even had some hand-me down clothing. So when Jesus began His ministry at the age of thirty, it threw His brother for a loop. All of a sudden Jesus was making bold claims and performing miracles. His brothers and sisters began to think He was insane. However, after His death and resurrection, Jesus appeared to James. This was the crucial turning point that took James from being a critic and turned him into a bond-slave of his Lord.
